5 Reasons Why Green Tea Aid In Weight LossGreen tea has gotten a lot of attention recently due to the fact that medical tests have shown how beneficial green tea is to the human body. Some of its beneficial properties include preventing cancer, detoxification and antioxidant and providing cognitive enhancement. In addition, green tea can help you to lose weight. Here are five of the top reasons why green tea works for weight loss.

1. Green tea can give you added endurance. Working out is important to weight loss because it builds muscle tone and burns fat. Green tea is a great weight loss aid because it has been shown that drinking green tea will boost your endurance by up to 24%. In addition, when you combine working out with drinking green tea, you will burn more calories than when you simply work out. Drinking green tea can also help you to burn calories even when you are at rest.

2. Green tea contains slimming ingredients. Green tea contains two important ingredients that make it a weight loss aide. One is EGCG, epigallocatechin gallate, and the other is caffeine, both of which have been shown to increase metabolism and burn fat. They also aid in regulating cravings and your body’s blood sugar levels. EGCG has also been shown to be a powerful antioxidant that is helpful in preventing cancer, just one more reason to drink a cup of green tea a day.

3. Green tea can prevent the body from turning carbohydrates into fat. The body has a tendency to turn excess carbohydrates into fats to be stored. However, green tea inhibits fatty acid synthesis, the enzymatic process within the body that is responsible for this process. Drinking green tea with meals containing carbohydrates can be a good way to prevent weight gain from carbohydrates.

4. Weight loss from green tea is long term. Studies on long term green tea drinkers show that they typically have less overall body fat than non drinkers. This is partly due to the fact that green tea increases your bodies metabolic rate, so it is more effective in using calories. If you drink green tea on a daily basis, you will simply stay slimmer naturally in the long term, making it a good weight loss aid to add to your daily diet.

5. Drinking green tea can suppress sugar cravings. Some long term green tea drinkers have noticed that it decreases cravings for sugary foods. If you are trying to avoid sugary foods but having a hard time because of uncontrollable cravings, try drinking a cup of green tea instead (sugar free, of course). Drinking green tea is also a good weight loss aid because it will also make you feel more full, which can also help with cravings as well as overeating.

Green tea has many benefits and no known side effects making it a safe herb for most people to use as a weight loss aid. However, always consult with your doctor. health care provider or nutritionist before adding any new herb to your diet, especially if you are currently taking other medication.
