Dieting is heard enough for most. It can be even harder for someone that has diabetes. With dietary restrictions already on Diabetics, finding the perfect balance of foods can be a challenge. You will want to find something that tastes good, and also is good for your body while helping you lose weight.

First, as always, you should contact your Doctor or Health Care Provider about going on this or any new diet. They will be able to help you decide if the diet you are choosing is the best option for you. Not every diet is appropriate for every person.

Now, you are ready to begin the changes in your diet. One of the more popular diets, the low carb high protein diets is okay if modified slightly. Two of the most important things a diabetic needs are starchy foods and fiber. These help to maintain your blood glucose levels. As you know if these get too high or low, there can be serious health consequences.

When you think of high protein, you might be thinking now you can have that greasy hamburger from your favorite fast food joint and toss the bun. That is not the case at all. A key element to losing weight is to also cut back on the fat. You can still have a hamburger, one you prepare at home, but bake it and use a leaner selection of meat. The key here is to choose leaner cuts of all meats. Skinless chicken, fish, and lean beef are all good options.

You will now need to also cut out all simple carbohydrates from your diet. That means no sugar, white flour products, sodas, most cereals and white rice. But there are some great alternatives to all these foods you can still enjoy. Whole Wheat flour gives you a simple alternative where you can still enjoy breads and wraps while increasing your fiber, which helps you feel fuller and aids in breaking down fats. There are several whole wheat cereals on the market as well that have little to no sugar in them. As a general rule, you want the net carbs to be less than 8 grams. You achieve this calculation by subtracting the total number of carbs from the dietary fiber.

Another item to include heavily in your diet is raw vegetables. The possibilities are endless! You can have a nice salad with lunch topped with some baked chicken. The general rule is you want to have a vegetable of sorts with every meal, with the exception of dinner where you want to have two vegetable options. Vegetables contain fiber, and have vitamin benefits galore as well.

Finally, you will want fresh fruit in your diet as well. This may seem like a strange concept, most diets tell you not to use fruit because of their sugar content. But your main focus should be on berries and apples, both of which do not have large quantities of sugar, and help keep your natural sugar levels balanced. They also provide an edge to battling the craving for sweets.

You are on the road to success. Just remember to choose lean meat. Eat fruits and vegetables with all your meals, and increase your daily fiber intake. In no time, you will start looking great and feeling better.

  2. HCG says:

As we’re on Altering Your Diet For Healthy Diabetic Weight Loss, The HCG diet lasts for 40 days and has two components. The 1st element is the use of the HCG hormone, a natural hormone produced in pregnant ladies, in most cases via every day injections. The second element is strict dietary modifications and also a rigid 500 calorie-a-day diet strategy. Weight loss results are dramatic to say the least, with many HCG dieters losing 30 – 50lb per 40 day cycle, nevertheless, it can be vitally very important that dieters are closely supervised by medical professionals.
